ABOUT MINING INDABA

The Canadian Council on Africa, in partnership with the Government of Canada invite you to join 2017 Mining Indaba, Africa’s largest mining event. For over 20 years, investing in African Mining Indaba along with its partners in Africa have channeled billions of dollars of foreign investment into the mining value chain. Mining Indaba is the world’s largest gathering of mining’s most influential stakeholders and decision-makers in African mining.

Premium activities

Canada-Africa Business Networking Reception

The Canada Reception is your starting point at Mining Indaba. The Minister will officially lead the Government of Canada in engaging with the private sector. Every year that Canada has hosted this reception, participants have met with representatives from the Canadian Government and private sector industry leaders.

Please note, an invitation is required for entry. Invitations to this event are included in delegation packages purchased through the Canadian Council on Africa.

Canadian Interactive Breakfast Forum (IBF)

The Interactive Breakfast Forum brings together a panel of experts with a moderator to discuss a theme that is topical for anyone with an interest in mining and mining-related issues. For the past 4 years, this Forum has sold out. Past topics and themes include: Corporate Social Responsibility, Mining, Infrastructure, and Political Risk. Attendees are encouraged to submit anonymous questions. This unique format of the forum allows for a lively and interactive discussion.

Through registration with the Canadian Council on Africa, attendees have access to the Canada Pavilion Networking Lounge. Comprehensive programming allows for numerous and diverse opportunities for attendees to build relationships.
