    Description: This flagship event hosted by the Government of Canada attracts African senior government officials and key contacts from mining firms, NGOs and academia. The event allows Canadian delegates to meet high-level mining executives and government official ahead of the official opening of Indaba, and to schedule follow-up meetings over the week.

    Theme: Building a responsible, Sustainable, Growth-Orientated Gold Mining Company
    Description: From Zero gold production in 2007 to almost 1,000,000 ounces of annualized gold production in ten years; Discussing world class ability to acquire, discover, finance, build and operate gold mines in multiple jurisdictions; and the fact that most of gold production now comes from Africa; the Fekola Mine in Mali and the Otjikoto Mine in Namibia.

This event will highlight the Canada Pavilion and the +125 Official Canadian delegation that has come together to present a strong Canadian presence at Mining Indaba 2018.     Description: This panel will discuss what “responsible minerals sourcing” means in practice. It will explore current approaches within the value chain that allow manufactures, retailers and consumers to demonstrate that the metals and minerals incorporated in their products are mined using responsible practices.

    Thème: Nouvelles tendances des codes miniers en Afrique
    Description: PDAC a le plaisir de vous inviter à la 5ème édition de Franco-Mine à Mining Indaba 2018. En collaboration avec le Gouvernement du Canada, le Conseil canadien pour l’Afrique et McCarthy Tétreault, Franco-Mine offre une plateforme d’échanges en français entre les délégués africains et canadiens et autres participants à Mining Indaba.
